About this Course

This course teaches students the aspects of Oracle 11g RAC administration. Students will begin with gaining a solid foundation in the Oracle Clusterware and the RAC architecture. Students will review the RAC setup and installation and will learn how to configure both the Clusterware and the database software, as well as cover the administration of both pieces of software using command line utilities. Important detailed topics include failover, flashback, troubleshooting, tuning, and backup and recovery. Students will also learn and get experience with the Automatic Storage Management feature.

Database administrators new to the RAC environment.

Prerequisites

At least 6 months of Oracle database administration experience recommended.
