About this Course

The Conducting Cisco Unified Wireless Site Survey course is a 5 day ILT course, designed to help students prepare for the CCNP-Wireless certification, a professional level certification specializing in the wireless field. The CUWSS course is a component of the CCNP-Wireless curriculum. The CUWSS course is designed to give students a firm understanding of how to conduct a site survey and explores WLAN topologies for voice and data as well as location appliance services. Students will explore design strategies, including Cisco WCS planning tool, Cisco Spectrum Expert, Ekahau Survey Tool as well as examine methodologies and project management. The CUWSS training class reinforces the instruction by providing students with hands-on labs. The CUWSS class is targeted toward wireless network engineer, mid-level wireless support engineer, wireless test engineer, wireless network designer and IT professionals tasked with performing or overseeing site surveys for wireless LAN solution implementations.

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

  • Determine the placement of the access points for data, voice, and location applications
