About this Course

In this two-day, instructor-led course intended to give administrators and engineers hands-on experience with Cisco collaboration version 10.5 systems including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Instant Messaging and Presence (IM&P), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), and Expressway deployed for Mobile and Remote Access.

This course is lab-intensive with little lecture, and students must have significant experience with previous versions of CUCM, CUC and Presence (IM&P) to be successful in this course.

The course will begin with an overview of the enhancements made to the major components of Cisco’s Collaboration Systems since version 8.0. Then students will implement many of the most popular new features in CUCM including streamlined deployment of new devices, enhancements to CUCM dial plan, and major intercluster services. Next students will deploy Unified Messaging with Cisco Unity Connection. Integration of CUCM and IM&P v10.5 and deployment of Jabber 9.7 rounds out the exploration of core Cisco collaboration components. Finally, students will explore and configure Mobile and Remote Access/Expressway allowing devices external to the collaboration network to register to CUCM and gain access to enterprise collaboration services.
