About this Course
This 2-day leader-led, hands-on class will guide you through a series of practical exercises using the latest versions of iOS and OS X to get you up and running with Apple's device management tools and technologies. Through discussions, Q&A, and instructor demonstrations and walkthroughs, you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to deploy and maintain groups of Apple devices in your organization.

At Course Completion
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
- Define requirements for, and create, a device management and deployment plan
- Use Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) and Device Enrollment Program (DEP) to your advantage
- Configure a secure network for device enrollment and management
- Set up OS X Server with secure certificates and caching service
- Create and install profiles with Profile Manager
- Enroll devices manually and remotely
- User Profile Manager's inventory, organization, and administrative functions
- Install and configure Apple Configurator
- Prepare, install, edit, and update profiles and apps with Apple Configurator
- Supervise, backup, restore, and manage iOS devices and their contents
- Integrate, configure, and lock/unlock devices through DEP
- Enroll and administer VPP
- Integrate VPP with Profile Manager
- Purchase, distribute, install/deploy VPP-purchased, and in-house, apps and books via Profile Manager
- Manage VPP distribution assignments and user erollments
- Create and manage restrictions with Profiles
- Manage device data, services, installation, and Open In with OS X Server
